@rhianajharrison in my experience, as a daughter, mother and grandmother, no child wants to be estranged from their parents. We do it to protect ourselves. If this woman cannot see where she sits in all of this, and if she can so easily point the blame elsewhere, then I think the other side Will be very very different and probably reflect many years of pain on the sons part.

I did.  They were in committed relationships. I knew contraception was in place and I made them promise to come to me for judgement free help if anything went wrong in that regard.  I helped my 16yo daughter with the morning after pill once when a condom broke. Her and her now husband came and talked to me.  We sorted that out.
