I stopped wearing my rings soon after my husband died of cancer because they had become tight. While he was I’ll he lost a lot of weight and his kept slipping off so he gave it to me for safe keeping, I put it on my thumb because it fit there and it’s still there 3 years  after his death, I still miss him very much and often turn it while I’m thinking of him
