I look with envy at the Australian Student Loan system. The New Zealand one should us down the river 30 years ago. Owning anything, let alone property,was and still is out of the question. Mine in now quadruple what it was 20 years ago. If I had a choice now between an education or a house, I would still pick education by a country mile.

@rosiecat - me too, Rosiecat. I was on the Pill from about age 25 years. I knew about the 'fake' bleed from age 28, back in 2000, so I quit the sugar pill week for good and continued the active pills each day. I haven't had a period since age 28 (no kids either)and am now 51 and past menopause. I saw absolutely no point having periods, since I never intended to have kids. No pain, sanitary product expense or worry about bleeding through your skirt.
