From the bride’s dazzling aquamarine ring at the reception, to the choice of flowers, Princess Diana’s memory was truly honoured at the royal wedding.
Now, eagle-eyed observers have noticed another tribute to Harry’s beloved mother in the official portraits taken by Alexi Lubomirski, released by Kensington Palace last night.
The green silk upholstered lounge seen in the photos is the very same one Diana sat on for photographs of Prince Harry’s christening on the 21st of December, 1984.
In the original pictures, Princess Diana is holding a baby Harry surrounded by members of the royal family including the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William, who are sat on matching chairs.

Prince Harry was just 12 years old when his mum was tragically killed in a car crash.
In an interview with Good Morning America in 2016 he said that he and his brother Prince William attribute a lot of their charity work to their mother's memory.
"We do everything we can to make sure that she's never forgotten and carry on all of the special gifts, as such, that she had and that she portrayed when she was alive," he said.
"I think losing your mother at such a young age does end up shaping your life, massively. Of course it does."

Goodness, who is looking that closely at the chairs! It was just a bit of the arm and I had to look several times.
