The world waits wondering what the latest royal will be named.
She has been born nearly 48 hours and already she has more than one million tweets about her – but all missing one very important detail: her name.
We’ve had the birth.
We’ve seen the Princess.
We’ve gushed over her pics and analysed how her mother scrubbed up after a seamless birth and now we just want to know her name.
So it was with excitement that Kensington Palace made an announcement. It just wasn’t the announcement we wanted.
Oh COME ON!
The Princess, born on Saturday – the fourth in line to the throne – is just about to lay down her royal head for a second night at Kensington Palace.
She had a busy first day at home being visited by her grandparents.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, along with Kate’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton gathered at Kensington Palace to welcome their new granddaughter.
Auntie Pippa also made a visit spending six hours with the family – no doubt making numerous cups of tea and helping her big sis put her feet up.
Shocked about how great the Duchess looked? Read this: It’s okay. Most women do not look like Kate when they’ve just had a baby.
Meanwhile Prince Harry, currently in Australia has released a statement saying that his brother’s baby daughter is “absolutely beautiful”.

One of George's middle names is Alexander, so Alexandra is unlikely. I think Charlotte is similarly unlikely, seeing William's first cousin (Charles Spencer's daughter) is a Charlotte and isn't much older than the new princess.
I'm betting on Alice but I would love to be surprised with Victoria or Mary. I'm hearing talk this morning, supposedly from "insiders", that the name is Olivia. I think it's likely that the name has been decided for weeks now. I doubt they're still in discussions over it.
