Five things the world has just learnt about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Oh wow, this is… cute.

Prince Harry had a crush on Meghan Markle for two years before they met.

This, and other super pervy facts about the royal couple we never knew we needed in our lives (but can’t get enough of), will be revealed in a documentary called When Harry Met Meghan: A Royal Romance.

The documentary will air on Channel 4 in the UK this weekend.

Here are all the really juicy bits:

Prince Harry had a big ole’ crush on Meghan Markle

According to royal commentator Katie Nicholl, Prince Harry told his friends that Markle was his ideal woman after watching her character, Rachel Zane, in Suits.

“He had a crush on Rachel Zane two years before he met Meghan and the reason I know is because I was having drinks with one of his friends,” Nicholl says.

“She [Harry’s friend] told me she’d been on a night out with Prince Harry. He was single at the time, so she said, ‘Harry, who’s your ideal girl?’ And he said ‘Meghan Markle from Suits’.”

Markle was once on Deal or No Deal

Yep, Markle was ‘suitcase girl number 24’ on the American version of Deal or No Deal.

In the past Markle has spoken about how hard it was to make it in Hollywood as a mixed race actor.

“I wasn’t black enough for the black roles, and I wasn’t white enough for the white ones, leaving me somewhere in the middle as the ethnic chameleon who couldn’t book a job,” she wrote in an essay for ELLE

The Queen bloody loves Markle

Harry recently introduced Markle to the Queen over tea at Buckingham Palace and she’s said to be “delighted” by their relationship.

“All the Queen wants is for her children and her grandchildren to be happy,” says royal correspondent Nicholl.

“If Prince Harry is happy with Meghan, there is really no concerns on the Queen’s side.”

Markle told Suits creator she was done with “gratuitous” scenes

At the One You World Summit last year, Meghan revealed she had called up Suits creator Aaron Korsh, and told him she would no longer do “gratuitous” scenes.

“This season, every script seemed to begin with, ‘Rachel enters the room wearing a towel,’ and I thought, ‘Nope, I’m not doing it anymore’,” Markle said.

“I called the creator and said ‘it’s just gratuitous’—you’ve already seen it once so at a certain point you feel empowered enough to just say no.”

You go, girl.

Markle is divorced and the royals don’t care TBH

Although the royal family hasn’t always approved of divorcees, it doesn’t seem to be quite such a big deal in 2017.

“I don’t think the fact that she’s a divorcee will stand in her way, having that experience is no bad thing,” Nicholl commented.

“This is a woman of the world, she has the experience.”

In fact, royal correspondent and author Robert Jobson believes the royal family could learn a lot from Markle.

“A number of photographers that have dealt with have said they find her charming… Maybe the royal family can learn some lessons from her,” he added.
