A thief has tasered a pregnant woman inside her home during a break-in at Morphett Vale, south of Adelaide.
Police said a man forced open the front door open of a house on Parramatta Drive just after 9:30pm, while two women were inside.
He allegedly stole two mobile phones and a purse before he tasered the woman and then left.
Senior Constable David Muir said the suspect and women know each other.
“Both women are known to him, enquiries are continuing and we’re asking if anyone has any information about this incident to contact Crime Stoppers,” he said.
“Someone has managed to get hold of one, and as we know they are prohibited weapon.”
Police said the woman was taken to hospital to be checked over, but was fine.
