So sad about the cyclists I hope they're all ok.
We really need to change our motorist vs cyclist mindset. There are some respectful motorists and some respectful cyclists. And people from both camps can be pretty cranky and dispresectful to each other.
Though I did get really angry last week when I was in the traffic, stopped, at our local pedestrian crossing at our local primary school. The lollypop man had stopped traffic and was escorting the kids across the road. When from behind me came a bike, he swerved around me and then drove through the crossing narrowly missing the lollypop man and children.
We were all shocked. Now if that was a car we could take the rego down and report the driver. The bike was gone with no way of identifying. Sure bikes usually come off second when they are hit by a car, but a child or an elderly lollypop man hit by a bike wouldnt do too well either.
Why is no one reporting the "march in March", there is a little on the ABC site, but otherwise, there is defening silence?
I just saw Tony Abbott on the ABC news saying he heard the only march today was the St Patricks Day one. Maybe everyone else believes it didn't happen either. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.
