I love my knee high leather wide calf boots so much that I literally wear them to the Mamamia office every single day and I’m not even sorry about it.
Not one bit. Sure, I have fat thighs and calves to which I say, “chunky as charged!”
I feel no more disappointment when I try on regular boots and can’t get my wide foot inside.
No more risk of cutting off circulation in my calves knowing I’m wearing something that doesn’t really fit. Just a plus size confidence boost every time I wear my wide calf boots.
Here’s where you can find your own wide calf boots so you can strut your city or town feeling your fabulous self this winter. Go girl go!

Oh this article stabs at my heart. I have a gorgeous pair of knee length Jo Mercer boots that I bought a few years ago. I've put on a few kg's, and can no longer get the last 10-15cms done up - even with stockings/tights. Worst thing is I probably only wore them 5-8 times!!!!! :(
Find a good shoe repair/alterations place and get gussets put in. Sorry, I can't recommend any in Aus as I'm in NZ; but if the boots are expensive, quality footwear it's so worth it :)
Good idea, but I'd be too scared they'd ruin them
I used to love Bennett's Boots until they went under. I like to be able to try before I buy, so would love to find somewhere in Melbourne that sells wide calf boots in store.
I know it's not in store but I've purchased a few pairs from Ted and Muffy which is in the UK. The beauty is you put in your calf size and foot size and they have a great range. Best bit is they usually come very quickly and being opposite seasons they tend to be on special just before winter!
