WATCH: The joyful moment Peter Greste returned to the Al Jazeera newsroom.

It’s a moment that’s been more than 400 days in the making.

Peter Greste probably thought this day would never come. After spending more than 400 days in an Egyptian prison, wrongfully accused of aiding the Muslim Brotherhood, the Al Jazeera journalist has finally returned to work.

Read more: Finally, Peter Greste has been freed.

Take a look for yourself…

We wish Peter all the best in his return to working life.

Those of us who care about Peter Greste's struggle were elated to see him released from that prison.

The Egypt that staged the kind of childish trial of Peter and his two co-workers is not the Egypt that I've visited.........there would be many Egyptians dismayed by those proceedings today.

At least he's out & ready for work although at least one of the other guys has been critical of AL Jazeera's handling of their plight.
It seems though that journalists around the world are coming under increasing pressure to hide the truth from the public.
"Shooting the messenger" is becoming a literal event.
