Patrick "Patty" Mills is an Australian basketball player who has played in the NBA since 2009.
Born on August 11, 1988, in Canberra, Australia, Mills is known for his quickness, shooting ability, and leadership skills both on and off the court.
His skills have earned him a spot on several NBA teams. Over the course of his career, Mills has played for the Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Brooklyn Nets, and Atlanta Hawks.
Mills is also a prominent figure in the Australian national basketball team, the Boomers, and has represented Australia in multiple Olympic Games and FIBA World Cups.

Mills is an Indigenous Australian of both Torres Strait (Muralag) and Aboriginal (Kokatha) descent, and he prides himself on his philanthropic efforts and advocacy for Indigenous Australian communities.
"The way that I represent Australia and Indigenous Australia affects other people as well from other cultures," he told ESPN in 2017. "That was a real big eye-opener for me to know that I am doing a good job of what I'm doing and to keep it up and do it the right way."
