As the winter weather continues outside, we've got a pretty exciting reason to stay inside. From this Friday, we'll be planting ourselves front and centre on the couch to watch the Paris 2024 Olympics on Stan.

After a few years of topsy-turvy Olympics thanks to COVID-19 shifting the Tokyo 2020 event into 2021, the world is naturally very excited to have the largest sporting event on the calendar back at full tilt this year.

There's plenty to get fired up about for the Paris 2024 Olympics, including the Matildas scoring a berth in the competition to continue their glorious form following the World Cup heroics that took place last year. Jess Fox will be returning for a shot at gold again in the canoe slalom, Rachel Gunn will be making her debut in the first ever breaking (break dancing) event and Tina Rahimi will become the first female Muslim boxer to represent Australia at the Olympics.

So yes, it's safe to say we're chomping at the bit for the opening ceremony to get underway, and given this year's Olympics is taking place in Paris, we give you full permission to eat a croissant a day throughout the official competition. It's the right thing to do.

Pop on your winter woolies and get ready to become a couch expert at all things running, jumping, archery, badminton, canoe slalom and equestrian.
