Osher Gunsberg has written a book about recovering from the depths of psychosis.

Host of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and most recently, Bachelor in Paradise, 44-year-old Osher Gunsberg announced on Friday morning he has written his first book.

Titled, ‘Back, After the Break,’ a nod to his television career which has spanned two decades, Gunsberg shared a picture of the book’s cover on Instagram.

“I’m thrilled to reveal to you the cover of my first book,” he wrote.

“You mightn’t know that for a lot of the time you’ve known me, I’ve been managing life with mental illness.

“I wanted to talk about how with the help of some great doctors, a great mentor and my love wife Audrey Griffen that I managed to recover from the depths of psychosis to having a life that is a long way from how bad things were, because I know I’m not alone in going through what I went through,” the television and radio presenter shared.

In 2017, Gunsberg, a director for SANE Australia, revealed he had suffered from depression for a number of years, as well as social anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder.

“… With men, we tend not to go to the doctor unless we’re on fire… by then, it’s so bad that you just want to feel better fast and, unfortunately, for me it didn’t. I had to grit my teeth while I waited for the right dosages to show up,” he told HuffPost Australia at the time.
In 2016, Gunsberg’s first wife, actress Noa Tishby, spoke to New Idea about her ex-husband’s battle with alcoholism.

You can pre-order the book now, via Gunsberg’s Instagram.

You need to fix your title! Depression, anxiety, alcoholism, and OCD are NOT psychosis. Inaccurate clickbait.

Osher himself used the phrase "the depths of psychosis" in his Instagram post. Presumably, he knows what he went through and what he didn't.
