What an incredible day! On a personal note – my cousin Emile Sherman won the Oscar for Best Picture on The Kings Speech along with his fellow producer Iain Canning. You can watch my interview with Emile from a few weeks ago here. I watched the awards with a large group of our family along with Emile’s colleagues from his See Saw film production. I was beyond nervous and I was just home watching in Australia. I was busting to go to the loo but didn’t dare leave. When Emile’s name was announced, we all leapt up and started jumping up and down and my pelvic floor did not do me proud.
As he gave his speech, thanking among others his wife Caroline and his parents Brian and Gene, I took a photo of them watching him speak and texted it to him. I’m surprised he hasn’t replied. What else has he got to do?
ANYWAY!
We have clips of all the best ceremony moments including Emile’s win, below, BUT I know what you want to see are the frocks. We will be posting the red carpet arrivals and winners throughout the day and night so keep checking back. Loved Camilla Alves, Jennifer Hudson and Mila Kunis!
Oh I love being able to flip through the photos and look at all those gorgeous frocks! It's a real glam treat on a rainy day when I'm wearing my trackydacks, a load of washing is on and the kitchen's still a disaster.
My fave is Jackie Weaver in Collette Dinnegan.. and Oprah also looks lovely. I feel concerned for so many of the girls there who need a slap up lunch or two- they're so skinny, poor souls.
Right, treat over, back to domesticity.
