The 2024 Olympic nail art inspo we didn't know we needed.

To get up to speed on everything Paris 2024 Olympics, check out our Olympics hub page. We've got you covered.

No. But the best part of the 2024 Olympics is upon us. Nah, not the opening ceremony, ya silly goose. The nails! The glorious Olympic-inspired nails. (And also the gymnastics. LOVE the gymnastics).

Because with strict rules around their uniforms and what they can wear, some jazzy nail art is one way competitors at the Olympics can get a little creative when it comes to expressing their style and patriotism on the field/court/track/water, etc.

Watch: Let's just quickly relive that time when Cathy Freeman won a gold medal at the 2000 Olympics. Gah! What a moment. Post continues below.

And according to TikTok, leading the charge is Team GB, with some fun and colourful manicures of all different styles.

So, you know what we thought would be cute? Rounding up some of the best Olympic 2024 nail looks, of course!

Starting with this cute AF nail pic shared on Team GB's social media accounts:

From the national colours to the subtle Olympic rings and gold-medal inspired French manicure (here's to manifesting!), the little unique touches give an effortless nod to the mother country.

Also on the Olympic manicure train? Our very own Taliqua Clancy, representing Australia (for the third time, NBD) in Women's Beach Volleyball. The proud Wulli Wulli and Goreng Goreng woman posted a shot of her Olympic manicure on Instagram, showing the black, red and yellow flag on her nails, paying tribute to her Aboriginal roots.

The Matildas have also jumped on the Olympic manicures, with Aussie football stars Mary Fowler and Charli Grant sporting short and simple green and gold manicures.

Next, is British equestrian Laura Collett who understood the brief, with a round-tipped manicure. Featuring teeny-tiny Olympic rings, the British flag and a tribute to Paris (as well as a... cool llama?) Collett gets full marks for these sporty digits.

Speaking of a 10/10 nail game, GB swimmer Keanna MacInnes showed off this monochrome nail art look (which she did HERSELF?! Talk about DIY goals...) — and we are positively swooning. (We're going to just assume its gel or something super tough, cause chlorine).

For some low-key inspo that doesn't scream OLYMPICS, this multi-coloured pink, red, blue and teal nail art, adorned with subtle glittery stars, was also worn by another member of Team GB.

And honestly, such a vibe!

And look, there's no way we can talk about Olympic nails without honouring the fingertips of track and field athlete Sha'Carri Richardson, whose long acrylic nails have almost become as famous as her record times.

Her nail game at the USA trials was on POINT, so we can't wait to see what she brings to the table this time around.

"Every time I step on the track, I'm going to show you long nails, a different hair colour… as long as my community loves it, I'ma bring it every time," she said during an ESPYs interview in 2021.

Iconic.

Proving it's all in the details, US gymnast and absolute GOAT Simone Biles, opted for a French manicure (obvs!!) with a red twist to represent America, perfectly matching her Olympic uniform.

@simonebilesowens i messed up the transition so this is what y’all get now lmaoooo i need a tiktok tutorial😂😅🤎 #olympictrials #gymnastics ♬ original sound - Royal high🫶🏻

Jordan Chiles is another US gymnast sporting long acrylic nails for the 2024 Olympic games. Similar to Biles, she's opted for a French manicure, repping white and blue tips in a nod to the USA team.

In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Chiles actually commented on her manicures, sharing "People always ask me how do I do gymnastics with such long nails? To tell you the truth, they actually help me with my technique."

Another fellow teammate by the name of Joscelyn Roberson shared her fun and colourful nails on TikTok, switching from her patriotic stars and stripes to the colours of the Olympic rings.
