This man hasn't bathed or washed for 60 years. Not once.

This is Amou Haji.

He is 80 years old, lives in southern Iran, and according to the Tehran Times, he hasn’t washed in 60 years.

After his story was published in The Tehran Times, someone posted photos of Amou on Imgur, and now his story has gone viral.

Apparently, he believes that “cleanliness brings him sickness.” He says that some emotional setbacks in his younger years led to him wanting to live a more isolated life.

According to the Tehran Times, he lives off dead animals that he finds. He also smokes animal dung in his pipe and keeps his hair short by burning it with fire. Look at the rest of the amazing photos here:
