ROAD TEST: The 10 minute face mask that practically made my pores and fine lines disappear.

Pores have never been my problem.

I certainly don’t have perfect skin, but I haven’t really needed to worry about big pores before – my main skin concerns have always been oiliness and pigmentation.

That was until I ticked over the hump that is 35 years of age, and things really started to change.

Sure, the shine on my t-zone was still a thing and more and more sun damage from sun-baking in my 20s seems to show up everyday, but I also now get to add fine lines and larger pores to the list of things I’d like to target. Fun!

The pores in particular have been really bugging me because it’s something I didn’t think I’d ever really need to address. Then I Googled it and found out that pores, in fact, get bigger as we age. Great.

Enter, the NIP+FAB Glycolic Instant Fix Mask.

I’ve used a few products from the brand in the past, mostly because Kim Kardashian has said before that she swears by the brand’s cleansing pads, and if it’s good enough for Kimmy…

Kim Kardashian loves these.

The Instant Fix Mask contains the brand's highest level of glycolic acid, which is a chemical exfoliator. It works to lift away dead skin cells and boost overall tone.

The formula also boasts 'ever mat technology', which claims to smooth away the appearance of lines and wrinkles whilst reducing the look of enlarged pores. The result is skin that is more even-toned and visually smoother. Gimme.

To trial the product, first up I cleansed my skin with micellar water after work one evening to make sure it was clean and makeup free, ready for the mask.

I then squeezed out a 10 cent piece size blob of the mask, which is a clear gel-like consistency. I swiped it on evenly over my whole face - making sure I didn't apply it too close to my under-eye area - and waited 10 minutes for it to set (I passed the time by filing my nails, in case you were wondering).

When time was up I gently washed off the clear mask with warm water and a face washer. My skin felt really smooth to the touch and was visibly brighter and more refined. As it was night time I then applied a face oil followed by night cream.

Stoked with the results.

Since my initial trial I have used the mask three times a week for the past fortnight. My skin felt and looked really smooth each time and the lines on my forehead seemed less obvious, but I was most impressed by how much smaller the pores on my cheeks looked - they had definitely shrunk.

My morning skincare the next AM also seemed to penetrate better and my makeup looked more seamless. Bonus.

The NIP+FAB Glycolic Instant Fix Mask is currently on sale for $14.99.
