Nicole Kidman: "I feel the desire to stay alive now."

Nicole Kidman says her days of being adventurous are behind her.

Actress Nicole Kidman has explained how having children has given her a new desire to live, after talking to photographer Steven Klein from Interview magazine.

Nicole, 47, says she doesn’t take risks like jumping out of airplanes anymore, but that she might be more adventurous again when “I’m in my seventies”.

“I feel the desire to stay alive now. I just feel like I’m in the world right now. There have been times when I haven’t felt in the world, when I haven’t cared whether I was going to be here or not, so my relationship with being on the earth was probably not as intense. And right now, there’s an intensity – I want to be here,” Nicole said.

Nicole will feature in the September issue of Interview magazine, alongside Kiera Knightley and Naomi Campbell.

Nicole previously told E! online that her and her husband Keith Urban, 46, work hard to maintain a normal life for their daughters Sunday, 5, and Faith, 3, despite being a “gypsy family”.

“It’s a completely normal life which is what we both work very hard to have for our children. I know normal has one hundred different definitions these days, but what I consider normal is just you know, eating dinner together, having breakfast together, talking, hanging out, going to movies, shopping, going down to the local ice cream place. Just the normal stuff,” Nicole said.
