The start of September marks the beginning of Spring and, just as significantly, an all new set of Netflix films, TV shows and documentaries are set to drop.
So grab your popcorn and boil the kettle, because Netflix is dropping some of their best next month, including all-time classic Dirty Dancing and the final season of The Good Place.
Here are their top four releases, plus everything else hitting the streaming service this month.
Happy bingeing!
Dirty Dancing
Start practicing your lifts, because Dirty Dancing is coming to Netflix next month.
The 1987 cult film, starring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze, is one of the most beloved films to ever feature a Baby, a watermelon and a forbidden love story.
Its catchy 80s soundtrack and ingenious script (“You just put your pickle on everybody’s plate, college boy, and leave the hard stuff to me”) has made it iconic in popular culture, and we now can't wait to watch it another 687 times.
Our September plans = sorted.
Hello, Privilege. It’s Me, Chelsea.
In this Netflix special, comedian Chelsea Handler explores the significant influence of white privilege inherent within American culture, and how she herself has benefited from it in her life and career.
"I intend for it to be very funny and I intend to hang myself out to dry," Handler, a proud feminist, told Buzzfeed about the special. "I’m a perfect example of the American dream, if you’re white and borderline pretty."
The documentary is set to be released on the streaming platform on September 13th.
The Good Place, Season 4
If you're looking for a good place to spend your September days, then Netflix has you sorted.
This hilarious and critically-acclaimed comedy, starring Kristen Bell, Jameela Jamil and Ted Danson, is guaranteed to have you chuckling.
It stars Kristen Bell as Eleanor Shellstrop, a woman who dies a slightly humiliating death and finds herself the Good Place, a Utopian-like neighbourhood where only the very best humans who lived a good life on Earth are allowed to spend eternity in pure bliss.
Season Four will be its last, so you better start if you haven't already, before the new episodes drop on September 27.
The Politician
Say hello to your new Netflix obsession, The Politician.
Netflix’s new satirical comedy-drama is the very first offering from TV mastermind Ryan Murphy, the creator of Glee, American Horror Story and Scream Queens, as part of his mammoth $300 million deal with the streaming service.
In The Politician, Ben Platt stars as protagonist Payton Hobart, a wealthy student from California who has known without question since the age of seven that he is destined to be the President of the United States.
But first, he must navigate the most treacherous political landscape there is… Saint Sebastian High School. In a rare TV appearance, Gwyneth Paltrow plays Georgina Hobart, Payton’s glamorous adoptive mother.
Take a look at the first trailer for The Politician, coming to Netflix September 27. Post continues after video.

Aaaah Netflix. My wife literally spends more time scrolling through the shows available than actually watching anything :)
I'll be interested to see The Changeover. I read the book years ago and thought it could be an interesting series. Also looking forward to more Travels With My Father.
