Finally, we’ve seen the trailer for the new Ghostbusters remake — and it does not disappoint.
It’s heavy on homage – there’s a ghost-and-slime moment, the obligatory terrified crowds running away from ghouls through New York City scene, and the classic ghost-busting proton packs.
We also learn that Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) is an expert on the supernatural, Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon) is “a brilliant engineer”, that “no one’s better at quantum physics” than Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), and Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones) is an MTA employee who gets involved with ghostbusting when she experiences a haunting on the subway tracks.
Just like the originals, it’s based on the ideas written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. And the screenplay was written by Kate Dippold and Paul Feig.
Oh – and Slimer’s back! This is going to be excellent.

It's really hard to look forward to this when the first ghost scene in the preview is a rip off from the first movie. They're all talented women but there really was no need for a remake.
I had reservations about this. GB is a classic but this don't look to bad.
