Riddle me this: If a Facebook friend posts a status about something terrible, are you still meant to hit “like”? Does doing so make you a heartless, unfeeling heathen or a kind and compassionate Internet friend?
Honestly, we’ll never know.
Luckily, from today onwards, we’ll never need to know, because Facebook have added a whole range of other reactions to compliment that darn ambiguous “like” button.
From this morning onwards, you’ll be able to Love, Haha, Wow, Sad or Angry your friends’ posts, depending on how they make you feel. All you have to do is hover over the old “like” button.
Check out what Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has to say about the change…
57,000 people Love the change already. 9000 others are Angry. More than 2000 poor, lost souls are Sad.
But hey – at least we know.
Note: If you’re desperate to try the new feature but it’s not working on your mobile device yet, Mashable has come up with a solution: close the Facebook app completely and reopen it. Then, click the old “like” button, and the new options will pop up. You’ll be Wow-ing in no time.
