Unlike most of the poor, exploited souls on his documentary series, Catfish‘s Nev Schulman has ended up finding himself a brilliant catch.
The 32-year-old wed his freelance writer/photographer partner Laura Perlongo on Saturday in a predictably quirky ceremony at his father’s home in East Hampton, New York.
The couple, who have been together for two years, had the nuptials officiated by YouTuber Casey Neistat.
Their nine-month-old daughter, Cleo, served as the flower girl and was reportedly wheeled down the aisle in a red wheelbarrow before being scooped up by her dad, according to The Daily Mail.
“I never imagined I could be this happy,” Schulman told PEOPLE. “Marrying the woman of my dreams and having our beautiful daughter there with us! I’m a very lucky man.”
The bride wore her hair in a fishtail braid to one side, and her makeup was simple, with a smoky eye and pale lip.
Their first dance was by the pool, and fellow Catfish star Max Joseph gave a toast to the bride and groom.
After the official part was over, the newlyweds stripped down to swimwear (white, of course) for a mid-arvo ocean swim.
(Perlongo kept her garter on.)
Schulman and Perlongo became engaged on May 26, 2016, five months before the birth of little Cleo James.
While the pregnancy was a surprise for the couple, they were “happy and excited” to learn they were expecting.
“Words [can’t] capture the excitement and joy I feel about becoming a father,” Schulman wrote on Instagram at the time. “I am so in love with you Laura and thank you for giving me this incredible gift. You inspire and excite me every day.”
