Listen up, die-hard feline fans: this Saturday is National Hug Your Cat Day. It’s time to get ready to celebrate the love, laughter and “putting their bum in your face” that cats bring into our lives.
The problem with National Hug Your Cat Day, of course, is that cats aren’t always keen physical displays of affection. Or anything physical. Or any affection.
In fact, as Those Two Girls‘ latest video demonstrates, cats aren’t really a fan of the hugs at all.
So maybe, instead of hugging your cat on Saturday, you could just… think about how much you love them. From another room.
Or leave a small, fish-flavoured peace offering at a safe distance.
Your call, of course.
But don’t say we didn’t warn you.

I have one who likes being held, but hugging implies squeezing, and they don't like that. Her sister starts to struggle as soon as I pick her up. They both like to sit on me though.
