Why Nadia Bartel will be wearing Rebecca Judd's usual designer, J'Aton, at the Brownlow.

Rebecca Judd and Aussie designer label J’Aton Couture are as synonymous as Melbourne and good coffee or cheese and crackers.

From the Logies to The Brownlow Medal (and even her 2010 wedding), the Postcards host has almost exclusively opted for the label’s detailed beading and glamorous feathered creations for her red carpet appearances over the last few years.

“I’ve worn a lot of fantastic designers over the years and I’ve seen on our travels amazing designer overseas as well, and I always come back to J’Aton. They really are in a league of their own,” Judd told the Herald Sun in 2013.

“They’re cutting edge, they’re really original and I love they’re forever evolving. You’re always going to get something different.”

Together they’ve continually topped ‘best-dressed’ lists, nailed black tie dressing and inspired countless brides to don J’Aton on their special day. They were the untouchable muse-and-fashion power couple no-one dared to butt into. (Post continues after gallery.)

Bec Judd in J'Aton Couture

But for the first time ever, it won’t be Judd in their couture at this year’s Brownlow.

With husband Chris Judd no longer playing AFL and twin boys set to arrive any day, the 33 year old won’t even be at this year’s ceremony – and she’s passed the J’Aton baton to friend and fellow Brownlow veteran Nadia Bartel.

“I think when Bec was wearing them, that’s her thing, and I wouldn’t be wearing them the same year she was. She knows I’m using them and she was happy. She was like, ‘they’re the best’. It’s exciting,” wife of Geelong player and former Brownlow medallist Jimmy Bartel told the Herald Sun.

It’s not the first time the duo behind the label, Jacob Luppino and Anthony Pittorino, have worked with Bartel, but you can expect another Judd-worthy showstopping stunner.

“The boys did my wedding and 30th birthday dresses and we’ve always chatted (that) it would be awesome if they could dress me for Brownlow,” she said.

“It’s different. It’s like beaded, but I definitely let J’Aton just do their thing though, they’re amazing.”

In another first, there’ll be more than one attendee wearing the label tonight.

Gold Coast player and dual Brownlow winner Gary Ablett’s wife Jordan will also be wearing one of their gowns.

“I’m always in love with what Bec wears so I feel very privileged. I trust them completely,” she said.

Behind many Aussie celebrities’ golden red carpet moments including Jessica Marais’ stunning black Logies dress this year, Luppino and Pittorino also count Kylie Minogue amongst their loyal fans.

We’ll be keeping a close eye to see what they do tonight – we can’t wait.
