The perfect deodorant has always eluded me.
For me, finding a roll-on that is long-lasting, and that I feel confident to use (as in, not filled with a very long list of strange ingredients I can't pronounce or understand in a simple Google search) has, in short, made it difficult to shop around without going to the most convenient or cheap option.
But this summer, on several particularly balmy evenings, I've felt a patch of sweat growing (here's that word coming) moister and moister by the second beneath my arms. It's not unlike me to sweat – but sometimes, the scent can even surprise me.
I curse the roll-on I've always used and vowed to find something that worked (and felt) better for me. Natural deodorants have been having their moment, but I've often wondered whether they really work?
So, a few of us tried MyAura's natural deodorant range for four weeks. Here's our honest verdict.
Shannen, MyAura Deodorant Stick (Rose Vanilla Jasmine)
As a busy girl, I knew I needed a deodorant that was affordable, pocket-sized and cruelty-free.
In the name of transparency, my underarms can get... smelly (depending on the weather). And whilst I love the summer, and the heat, and how the sun feels on my skin - I don't particularly like the way it makes my skin... damp.
This is why I've always been a little apprehensive to jump onto the "natural" train because I knew taking four to six weeks for my body to adjust to something better for me (and the environment) might be a painstaking task, thanks to how sweaty I can get.
