Drum roll, please…
It’s here, you guys. After months of meals that make you feel inadequate and stressed out, challenges that had you glued to the screen, My Kitchen Rules is over for another year.
It’s been a helluva ride that saw us be slightly disappointed by the OTHER Hemsworth, watch awkward love set ups try to happen and of course witness a few meltdowns.
But tonight it was a face-off between the mums from Mount Isa, Jac and Shaz, and the boys from NSW, Steve and Will. And, five courses later, we finally have a winner.
Ready? Are you ready? Don’t read on if you don’t want spoilers…
It’s Steve and Will, by just two points with a score of 52 out of 60.
Now that all the excitement is over, we’re going to look back on the best moments of this season.
1. The Highest Score Ever.
Perth mates Eva and Debra were one point away from elimination but somehow managed to come around and end up with the highest score in MKR history – a whopping 98 out of 100.
2. The more diverse mix of cast members.
It’s so refreshing to see diversity on our TVs. And can we say, we loved seeing Emilie, who has been deaf since she was born, represent those with similar disabilities.

3. The lovely relationships between parents and children on the show.
Rose and Josh. Vicky and Celine. Robert and Lynzey. Gina and Anna. All mother and daughter, mother and son or father and daughter. The representation of parents and children was so great to see.
4. Colin Fassnidge.
The 2015 season was Colin’s time to shine. He was a legend and we loved seeing more of his brilliant judging techniques.

5. The use of tactics.
Tactics were a BIG part of this season – more than any previous MKR. The one that was most utilised? Low-scoring your opposition if you got a shit score. Good one, guys. Works every time.
It was a good season. We’ll miss you, MKR.

thank goodness it is over but now we have to put up with another renovation show. are all our tv stations on a one way path to destruction or is it a for gone conclusion that we will have to pay to get good entertainment on tv.
Actually two renovation shows, one on Prime and the other on Win. Or you could watch some more cooking on Ten. Could be worse, I'd rather watch one of these options than another season of X-factor or Australia's got Talent.
Meanwhile, I thought I'd watched all of the previous season of MKR, but I do not recognise the first couple in the gallery.....bizarre
