A mother has shared a crushing message for her dead daughter's drug dealer.

The mother of a girl who died from a heroin overdose has sent a heartbreaking message to the person who dealt her final dose.

Tina Wells Loudon shared an image of herself hugging her daughter’s urn on the day that would have been her 28th birthday.

The image was posted with an accompanying caption to Facebook group ‘Heroin Kills You’.

Loudon, from Missouri, USA, explained this was how she was spending her daughter’s birthday.

“To my daughter’s drug dealer, this is how I spend my daughter’s birthday now….how do you live with yourself?” She said.

“That’s all I wanna know. I don’t normally post pics like this but let’s make this go viral so all the drug dealers see what they are doing to our families.”

The post instantly shot to great popularity among parents, friends and sufferers alike.

Loudon told her local news station KSDK her daughter passed away in 2013 from a heroin overdose after five years of drug use.

"I know Ashley took the drugs but I still believe the dealer should be somewhat responsible," Loudon said.

"They are selling this poison knowing that it could kill you."

The mother said she had received messages from affected families and users who said the post had inspired them to seek help.

Loudon hoped that even if the message didn't reach the dealer it would be enough to have an impact on at least someone.

"Maybe it would change somebody," she said.

"We live through this pain, every birthday, every holiday, it's not the same. Part of our heart is gone."

The post has reached over a quarter of a million shares since it was posted last week.
