Model's worn panties requested by Insta-creep.

Apparently the worn panties fetish wasn’t just a recent storyline in Orange Is The New Black, but a very real interest for some people.

And look, you want to sniff worn underwear, that’s really your business, but like all sexual undertakings, it’s important to make sure the panties come from a consenting adult.

Simply approaching strangers that you find hot and offering down payments for the goods is a strategy that will land you a 10 out of 10 on the global creep scale.

But that’s exactly what happened to one Adelaide-born model, who recently shared the world’s creepiest DM to date on her Instagram account.

Megan Irwin – who is represented by IMG Worldwide and recently worked with Mario Testino for Vogue Australia – shared the highly inappropriate DM with her 61,000 followers.

“Hi Megan this is different,” the message reads, “but I would like to offer you $550 for a thong that you wore. I can pay with PayPal, Venmo or most other cash transfer apps.

“What do you think?”

Then, because the message wasn’t creepy enough, the mystery man continues, “I could do $350 for a bra too if you were interested.”

“I could send payment in advance but would want to see proof that u wore it and put it into the package.”

Because nothing says I’m a cool guy that you should totally consider dating quite like demanding images of a stranger wearing and posting underwear to you as a business transaction.

Being the legend that she is, Irwin took the time to block out all of the mystery man’s details, as well as another message above. So we can only imagine what that said.

According to Pedestrian.tv, Irwin said, “I thought it was disgusting! It’s by far the strangest message I’ve received to date.”

It appears that the image has since been deleted.

High on the list of things that internationally successful models are interested in doing for $900? Probably not that…

I haven't checked, but I would imagine you could find people online selling their used undies - I believe in Japan, you can buy them from vending machines. How about you go buy from them, rather than creeping out random women on Instagram? Although I suspect that freaking out the women might be part of the thrill, like a flasher.

I have sold brand new underwear sets on ebay before and been asked if I had any that I had worn to sell. When selling shoes I would get requests for pictures of me wearing them "seductively". I would think these things happen a lot to regular people. No less creepy though.

Hi Kitty, I sold a pair of shoes on Ebay once and a male buyer asked me if I could take a photo of my own feet in the shoes. He got a one word reply "no".
