The latest trend to hit bridal parties.

The days of women only having girlfriends and men hanging exclusively with the boys are long gone. (Did they ever exist?) Men and women have deeply fulfilling relationships with people of both genders – friends, sisters, brothers, mothers and fathers.

That’s why it’s surprising that so many modern day couples put up with the traditional “men on the left, women on the right” arrangement in their bridal parties, which often results in loved ones standing next to the “wrong” partner, or even being excluded altogether.

The good news is, it doesn't have to be that way. More and more wedding parties are prioritising the people they love over the aesthetics of symmetry - and looking mighty fine in the process, if we do say so ourselves.

The upside?

As long as you're surrounding yourself with the people you love and care about, your bridal party can include whoever the hell you like. Go forth, groomsmaid and bridesmen.
