After missing woman Kala Brown was discovered “chained like a dog” in a metal container yesterday, she has told police she witnessed her boyfriend David “Charlie” Carver being killed.
According to 30-year-old Brown, the pair visited the North Carolina property of registered sex offender Todd Kohlhepp, a real estate agent with whom Brown had worked, on August 31.
It was there, in the town of Woodruff, that Brown alleges Kohlhepp shot Carver dead, local news station WYFF reports.

Brown also claimed there could be as many as four people buried on the property. Police have now discovered one yet-to-be identified body in a shallow grave on Kohlhepp’s land.
Authorities also discovered several guns in Kohlhepp’s possession. Seventh Circuit Solicitor Barry Barnette, who attended Kohlhepp’s bail hearing, said he thought it wa “unbelievable how much ammo [Kohlhepp] had in his building.”
Kohlhepp has been arrested and charged with kidnapping. Barnette claims there will now be a murder warrant in connection with the case.

Brown and Carver first went missing two months ago, having left their home and dog abruptly unattended. Shortly after their disappearance, mysterious posts began to appear on Carver’s social media page, prompting further suspicion over the couple’s whereabouts.
Brown was finally discovered by authorities after the following of a lead from a sex crimes investigator.
Brown was chained up in a 9m x 4.5m x 3.6m space on Kohlhepp’s property, where she was kept for two months. Carver’s alleged murder is yet to be confirmed.
