Finally, someone said what so many of us are thinking. On national television.
Last night’s Q&A — which featured our very own editor-in-chief Jamila Rizvi on the panel– was full of great political discussion.
But one crowning moment of the popular ABC program was when an audience member asked Harry Potter actress Miriam Margolyes to sum up Prime Minister Tony Abbott in a single word.
Margolyes got straight to the point – and she did not hold back.
“I think he’s a tit,” she said.
“Ten points to Hufflepuff,” Jamila responded.

Assistant Treasurer Josh Frydenberg was quick to defend his boss.
“Tony Abbott, if you want to have one word… is decent. He’s a decent person,” Mr Frydenberg said.

Frankly, I didn't find Miriam Margolyes' comment funny at all. I'm not a huge fan of Tony Abbott at times, but if she'd said something like that about Julia Gillard, everyone would be spewing.
Miranda Divine gave a nice little write up about this awful display. the hero worshipping of a harry potter actor and disrespectful at that. We all know everyone in the arts is a socialist, free everything for everyone. But the reality is, calling the prime minister a tit on national television is very disrespectful. Saying we all don't like jews is also a big fat lie. Where are the independent thinkers in this world.Save the hero worship for those that really deserve it and know what they are talking about. She's only calling him a tit because she, as an australian citizen, wants australia to go down the gurgled giving everyone everything. Someone has to pay for the huge number of migrants and unemployed and the aged. there will never be enough money for health arts and education because the we are expanding and the working are not expanding along with the population. Calling someone names gets you off the hook for explaining with some intelligence, your position.
