Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom split up over four years ago, but they’re still actively involved in each other’s lives, while raising their six-year-old son Flynn.
Their new partners play a role too.
Kerr is now engaged to Snapchat founder and CEO Evan Spiegel, has opened up to People about how their new blended family works.
Kerr, 33, was attending the Harper’s BAZAAR‘s 150th anniversary party in Los Angeles, when she spoke to People.
"Orlando and I are literally like family, he's like a brother to me," she told the magazine. "It's very weird, but we really care for each other and we have a great relationship, so I feel very lucky."
"We're a modern family," she added.
On Flynn's relationship with Bloom's current partner, Katy Perry, Kerr said: “They’re great. They get along really well.”
Bloom and Perry have been dating for a little over a year.
Mamamia previously reported on the surprising way Kerr dealt with her divorce from Bloom.
The model and businesswoman said she suffered from depression after their split and used aromatherapy to cope.
A blend of essential oils was specially made for Kerr during this tough time and it brought her a lot of comfort.
“When you put it on, it feels like somebody is giving you a big hug; that’s how soothing it is,” Kerr told Byrdie.

so much airbrushing in those pics...
Err really? Aromatherapy to cope with depression? I'm sure there are many different levels and types of depression. Mine personally took a couple of years of anti-depressants and some psychologist appointments to cope. I'd think it's not a good idea to promote aromatherapy as a mechanism to turn around depression? I'm no expert, maybe someone can correct me here?
