PEOPLE reports the 38-year-old writer and actress is expecting her first child and we couldn’t be happier.

While we’re wondering if Mindy’s offspring will inherit the comedic skills that brought us The Office’s Kelly Kapoor and Mindy Lahiri, everyone else seems to be preoccupied with knowing who the owner of the sperm responsible for her alleged pregnancy is.
Because the man is the most important part of a woman’s pregnancy, yeah?
Proving it’s nobody’s business but her own, sources close to the New York Times best-selling author claim “she’s not telling anyone, not even her close friends”.

This isn’t the first time a celebrity has made such a decision.
When Fifi Box announced she was pregnant with her first child, Beatrix ‘Trixie’ Belle Box in late 2012, the Australian comedian made the decision to stay silent on the father’s identity.
It wasn’t until 2016 that Fifi confirmed speculation with an Instagram post of Trixie playing with her father, former Iron Man, Grant Kenny.
Honestly, we couldn’t give a stuff who the father is, as long as Mindy and her first child are both happy and healthy.
