Who won Million Dollar Island? Everything we know.

If you're a fan of deserted desert islands and competitions that see the winner take home a suitcase full of cash, you've probably watched a couple episodes of Million Dollar Island Australia, which smashes these two ingredients together to form one big juicy, intense reality series.

The island worked like this: contestants were dropped on an unknown island, given a wrist band, each worth $10,000 in cold, hard cash, which they needed to steal from one another by smashing challenges and manipulating eliminations.

Obviously, this show has seen its fair share of trials and tribulations, with plot twists to steal food, hide clues and manipulate the social side of the game – the contestants of Million Dollar Island have proven they're not messing around.

As the season's end is upon us and the numbers dwindle, we're interested in finding out who the heck will be crowned the King or Queen of the castle.

So without further ado, here's everything we know about the finale of Million Dollar Island, including who walked away with the most money.

Who won Million Dollar Island Australia?

Hosted by SAS Australia star Ant Middleton, the series began with 100 contestants. Over the past few weeks, the contestants have formed alliances, competed in challenges and created new tactics to make it to the end.

In the finale, it was Brett, Chelsea and Jordan who competed to win. In the final game, Ant explained that the competitors would have the chance to convert the money on their wrists into cash.

With 100 bracelets to go around, there are also 100 boxes. Each box had a number corresponding to the bracelets collected.

Brett, Chelsea and Jordan were told that every box opened could mean at least $10,000 added to the prize pot.

Of course, there is always a catch.

Three boxes had three bombs, meaning each contestant could potentially blow up their chance to walk away with some serious cash.

Jordan went up first and collected 27 bracelets throughout the series, meaning he had 27 bracelets to choose from.

After opening six boxes, he tapped out meaning he earned $70,000 (including his guaranteed $10,000 bonus).

Brett was up next and secured 31 bracelets, meaning at least $310,000 was up for grabs.

After opening up 10 boxes, he still hadn't opened up a bomb yet. With 21 remaining boxes, he chose to go with Box 13 and learned he had lost $100,000. Big bummer!

"I didn't win it but hey," he said. "I played the game and the game played me."

Thankfully, he got to keep the $10,000 he started with.

Finally, the richest player in the game, Chelsea, was up.

With 42 bracelets secured, she had a chance to win $420,000.

After opening 10 boxes, Chelsea was yet to blow up her cash prize of $100,000 plus her $10,000 guaranteed bonus.

In the end, she decided to walk away, making her the richest player and the winner of Million Dollar Island.

"I've never even come close to having 110K in my bank account. I'm happy I'm stoked," Chelsea said.

"To come out on top as the winner... You work so hard, smash the challenges [and] end up with all the friends in the world. It's a great feeling."
