Love Island UK contestant Mike Thalassitis found dead in woods near his home.

Love Island’s Mike Thalassitis was found dead in woods near his home on Saturday, his management confirmed.

There is no information on what the cause of death is at this time.

Mike was a professional soccer player, having played for clubs including St Albans and Chelmsford, before he appeared on the reality TV series in 2017.

One year after Love Island, Thalassitis appeared on another reality television series in the UK called Celebs Go Dating.

Mike was an intruder on the third season of Love Island, which was broadcast in Australia by Channel 9 on 9Now.

He became famous for the nickname “Muggy Mike” on the reality show. However Chris Hughes, who was also a contestant on the third season of Love Island, is telling fans to stop using that nickname.

“His name wasn’t Muggy Mike. Please stop brandishing that. His name was Mike Thalassitis, and every inch of my heart goes out to his family & friends. A good guy, taken far, far to soon,” Chris tweeted.

Many of Mike’s other co-stars and friends have shared tributes to him on social media, remembering him as a genuine and kind man.

I genuinely can’t believe what I’m seeing here. My boy from the villa and one of my best mates from the show coming out. An absolute hero and a legend and someone I looked up to since I met him, always full of so much positivity and charisma..
