A young girl in the US became the ultimate job seeker for her dad this week.
Charlotte Bell, 10, was on a tour of the White House with other children who were meeting with First Lady Michelle Obama. When it was Charlotte’s turn to ask Obama a question, she took the microphone and said:
“My dad’s been out of a job for three years and I wanted to give you his resume.”
Obama, clearly a little surprised, responded with “Oh my goodness,” before taking the resume Charlotte handed her. She was so moved that she grabbed Charlotte and gave her an epic Michelle Obama presidential-style epic hug.
The First Lady explained to the rest of the kids in the room, “Well, it’s a little private, but she’s doing something for her dad.” She then looked Charlotte right in the eye and said:
“Got it.”
Watch the touching moment here:
You’ve got to hand it to the kid; that was brave. Her parents indicated that they’d been joking about hitting up the First Lady for a job before the visit, but they had no idea Charlotte would actually print off a resume and hand it to her.
Whether it’s thanks to Michelle Obama or not, here’s hoping Charlotte’s dad finds work soon.

Sweet. I wonder what Tony Abbott would do in this situation?
Send them to PNG.
Michelle Obama = awesome.
I would love to have her ability to do the right thing no matter what the occasion.
