Bachelor star Michael Turnbull and his girlfriend are engaged after two months of dating.

The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise star Michael Turnbull has found love (without the help of a reality TV show).

The 37-year-old, who was runner up on Sam Frost’s season of The Bachelorette, and his 27-year-old fiancé Natasha Candyce announced their engagement to WHO.

The pair met in January and were on-and-off before officially confirming their relationship in September. Michael proposed on November 16.

It sounds like a lot of thought went into the proposal which took place on a cruise on the Brisbane river – Michael even called Natasha’s parents to ask their permission.

“They were kind enough to say yes, so then I told Natasha, just be dressed and ready to go at 5pm,” he told WHO of his plan.

“I went away for a couple of hours before 5pm and then I came back and she was dressed up, looking beautiful, and we had glass of champagne.

“Then we had a car pick us up and drive us down to Kangaroo Point. I had a private boat waiting for us with a captain and a sea deck waitress. We had some champagne and some food, and then had a sunset cruise down the Brisbane River. It was beautiful.”

Michael said he asked Natasha to marry him at 7pm on the dot because seven was his lucky number.

Natasha said she was “so surprised” but of course she said yes.

She is wearing a three-and-a-half carat cushion-cut stone engagement ring with white gold diamond pavé band and halo (it’s seriously beautiful and you can see it here).

They have not yet set a date but plan to get married in 2020.

The couple made things official in September after Natasha was approached to appear on Married At First Sight 2019.

She quit the show just days before she was set to film her backstory to be with Michael.

“I’m glad we dedicated to not go on Married At First Sight and Bachelor In Paradise as love in the real world is so much better,” Michael told the Daily Mail last month.
