Michael Bublé has confirmed the beautiful meaning behind their newborn daughter's name.

After finally sharing their third child – Vida Amber Betty Bublé’s – name, proud dad Michael Bublé has shared the inspiration behind her moniker.

Speaking to Smooth 95.3’s Bogart & Glenn, the ‘Home’ singer said ‘Vida’ was inspired by his wife, Luisana Lopilato’s “heart language”.

“The reason that we named her ‘Vida’, is because, my daughter obviously, for people that don’t know, ‘Vida’ means ‘life’ in Spanish,” he said.

“It was really a beautiful miracle for us. We always wanted to have a little girl and we had two beautiful boys so it’s perfection.”

My boys love her. It’s sweet, they’re very gentle.”

It’s now been just over a week since the family of five welcomed their latest addition since the couple made the announcement on Lopilato’s Instagram and Bublé said the family of five are overjoyed with their latest addition.

“She’s a blessing,” he said.

The couple welcomed their third baby into the world on July 25 but waited five days to reveal the name.

It wasn’t until a few days after her birth that a representative of the family confirmed their third child’s name to People.

“The family is back home and are overjoyed with the new addition,” said the representative at the time.

The representative also confirmed the family origins of their newborn’s middle names.

Amber was chosen after Bublé’s mother Amber Santagà, and the name Betty was inspired after Beatriz Lopilato – Lopilato’s mother.

The birth of the new baby brings the family to five. The couple, who married in 2011, are already parents to sons Noah, four, and Elias, two.

The Instagram reveal included a black and white photo of the newborn’s tiny hand, seemingly resting on her mother’s chest:

The proud new mum wrote in Spanish (her native tongue):

“How to explain that our heart explodes with love? That there’s not enough hours in a day to think about it.”

As all mums are after the safe delivery of a child, Lopilato was grateful and relieved.

“I thank God for making us this gift of life and happiness,” she said.

“Because looking in her eyes is looking at heaven itself! We love you to infinity and beyond. We waited for you not only to grow as a family… you gave us light, hope, you are and will be our souls’ life.”

It must be an especially joyous time for the family, who only last year were dealing with then three-year-old Noah’s liver cancer.

In a Facebook post in April 2017, the mother shared that Noah was “well” but facing a long recovery.

“When things like those that happened to us occur, your take on life changes. It happened to us. Now I value life much more, the now and the today.”

Congratulations to the family on the new birth, and best wishes for a much happier times ahead.
