1. “She’s f**king gorgeous.” Michael has finally addressed the rumours he dated KC after MAFS.

Well, well, well. Michael has finally decided to address the rumours floating around that he dated KC after Married At First Sight ended. And he did so in true Michael fashion.

In case you need a refresher (or find it hard to keep up with all the MAFS goss) a text message thread was leaked earlier this month, where KC asked Stacey’s permission to get drinks with her (fake) husband, Michael.

“I spoke to Michael a couple [of] days ago, he asked how I was, we had a chat, he said he was coming to Sydney and if I wanted to go meet him for a drink,” read KC’s message.

“I said if I do I would first ask you… Not sure I will but I do see Michael as a friend but that’s it.”

And Stacey wasn’t too happy about it, saying that Michael previously called her “trash” and “a bad mother”.

“Told me he was going to ruin my life,” wrote Stacey.

“He has [not] apologised, he hasn’t even reached out, his MOTHER reached out and wished me and [my] boys happiness.”

But this morning, Michael straight up denied that he got together with KC on the Kyle and Jackie O Show. 

“Any truth to that rumour?” Kyle asked.

“No way! I wish it was to be honest. Have you seen her? She’s f*cking gorgeous,” Michael replied. “F*cking hell. Line me up for that.”

How romantic. 

“I mean I’m good, but she’s not blind,” Michael added.

So there we have it, it seems Michael doesn’t end up with KC after all. Then again, Michael isn’t exactly known for his er… honesty. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see what happens when Married At First Sight returns tonight at 7:30pm on Nine.

2. Oh. Big Brother Australia housemates have absolutely no idea about the Covid-19 pandemic.

We need to talk about the fact that there is a group of people who have absolutely no knowledge of the COVID-19 pandemonium that is engulfing the rest of the nation.

Yes, we’re referring to the 2020 Big Brother Australia contestants

According to The Australian’s Media Diary, the housemates went into ‘lockdown’ three weeks ago and the show is currently in production and being filmed at Sydney’s North Head.

Set to debut in June 2020, the reality TV reboot brings together contestants, or ‘housemates’, who live in complete isolation from the world. No mobiles phones, no social media and no access to the world happening outside the Big Brother mansion.

At least they don’t have to worry about running out of toilet paper or pasta. We hope.

3. MAFS’ Josh explains his black eye at the Commitment Ceremony.

During last night’s Commitment Ceremony, fans noticed that Married at First Sight contestant, Josh Pihlak was nursing a rather bruised eye.

Conveniently, it was never explained in the episode.

But thanks to MAFS parody Instagram account, @mafsfunny, we have an answer. Apparently the Newcastle man got a bit tipsy during his homestay and attempted to ride a kayak down his driveway. At this point, it’s believed his ‘wife’ Cathy Evans had returned to Sydney after they had a particularly heated argument.

“Had a few beers and thought it would be a good idea to ride a kayak down my driveway, come up a headsa [sic] and hugged a few trees. My driveway is bloody steep,” explained Josh, who also shared a photo of said kayak and steep driveway.

As they say, sometimes fact is indeed stranger than fiction.

During Sunday's episode, he and Cathy decided to part ways and leave the experiment. This came after a particularly rocky homestay, which saw the couple have multiple arguments.

"I've found it really hard to reflect on my decision, just because we were such a strong couple from the beginning. I put a lot of effort into this relationship, but I now know that I'm not for Josh - and Josh isn't for me," said Cathy on Sunday night's commitment ceremony.

"It's so bloody disappointing. We had a spark straight up, but unfortunately we didn't get our happy ending. You don't have to be sorry, we just didn't work," affirmed Josh.

4. "It's been a conversation." Sharna Burgess on the truth behind the rumours she’ll be our next Bachelorette.

Dancing With The Stars judge Sharna Burgess has addressed rumours that she will be the bachelorette for 2020.

On Sunday night's episode of the Channel 10 show, Burgess was asked by host Grant Denyer about the growing speculation.

"It's been a conversation," she admitted. "No decision has been made as of yet."

Denyer said the dancer would make an "epic" and "fierce" bachelorette, leading Burgess to respond: "So you want me to do it, is what you're saying?"

To which Denyer, of course, said "yes".

"Alright, okay," Burgess laughed. "Well, we'll see."

It comes after Burgess told Studio 10 last year she was "honestly looking for love".

"I've been so, so busy for the last nearly nine years, constantly on the show, constantly on tour," she told the program. "I'm ready to build a family, to meet that person and to build a life."

Channel 10 often picks people in the public eye for the role, with their 2020 Bachelor recently being announced as Survivor's Locky Gilbert.

5. "They wanted out." Inside the theory MAFS' Aleks and Ivan are actually still together.

Aleks and Ivan swiftly removed themselves from the garbage fire that is Married At First Sight before last night’s commitment ceremony.

Firstly, since when is that allowed? And secondly, it drastically cut the amount of drama we anticipated from the episode and we would be lying if we said we weren’t disappointed.

But given what happened at last week’s dinner party and the show’s abysmal track record for creating long-standing, working relationships… well, their decision made a lot of sense.

It seemed like their relationship was over, but in a twist precisely no one, especially not John Aiken, saw coming… it turns out Aleks and Ivan are probably still together.

“The pressures and expectations of the experiment got the better of us,” the couple both stated in matching Instagram posts following their exit.

“Aleks and I stayed together the evening of our exit and I even saw her off at the airport to be with her family again. It was an emotional moment for the both of us,” Ivan said.

“Let’s see if being outside does our relationship any more justice without the pressure and judgements of our peers. That being said, regardless of what pans out over the next few days and weeks, we are forever grateful for all of the wonderful people we have met along the way. We are all just humans on our own journey. Spread love, not hate and judgement.”

…Interesting.

The pressures and expectations of the experiment got the better of us. Ivan and I stayed together the evening of our exit and he even saw me off at the airport to be with my family. It was an emotional moment for the both of us. Let’s see if being outside does our relationship any more justice without the pressure and judgements of our peers.
