WATCH: Possibly the most rockin' headmaster on earth!

A Melbourne high school video has gone viral after the headmaster made a rap for charity.

St Michael’s Grammar School headmaster Simon Gipson took part in the rap video as part of the school’s ‘Merry Month of May’, where the school raises money for a different charity for each of the four weeks of May.

“It was a lot of fun,” Mr Gipson told the Herald Sun. Mr Gipson said he’d “never really listened” to rap before he lip-synched to the Grand Master Flash backing track. (Skip through to 1:06 if you need to – it’s worth it!)

(Post continues after video)

Mr Gipson said it was a student-led idea, and that they were looking for something to promote their fundraising efforts.

This year’s charities are: One Girl, which educates girls in Africa; Heart Kids, an organisation supporting children with heart disease; Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Leukaemia Foundation.

Last year students raised $17,369.75, an amount they hope to top this year.

Go you good things!
