Former actress and soon-to-be-royal Meghan Markle continues to break tradition and steal the world’s collective heart, this time by sharing a hug and some encouraging words with a 10-year-old girl.
Markle, 36, and her fiance Prince Harry, 33, were walking through Birmingham, England, on Thursday in an event marking International Women’s Day when a girl in the crowd, Sophia Richards, told Prince Harry she wants to become an actress.
Much to the 10-year-old’s surprise, Prince Harry pulled her out of the crowd to meet Markle, the former Suits star.
Markle spoke for a moment with Sophia, who is a pupil at the Oasis Academy Warndon in Worcester, Daily Mail reports, and ended the exchange with an embrace.
(Remembering, hugs aren’t something we’ve seen from the Royal family since Harry’s mum, Diana, Princess of Wales.)

I think I liked the Royal Family better when a bit of gravitas and dignity were considered preferable characterisitics. These days the younger members have morphed into high fiving , hugging celebrities in order to appear 'modern', not realizing that modernity and monarchy are somewhat of an oxymoron.
I like Meghan but my gut says this was a set up / planned PR - the girl looks nearly identical to Meghan when she was a child.
