From the pound to the palace – Meghan Markle isn’t the only one living the fairytale life.
Her rescue dog, Guy, was spotted hitching a ride to Windsor yesterday with none other than the Queen of England herself.
The internet went wild after photos emerged of Guy peering out the window of the backseat of a chauffeur-driven car, and sitting right beside him was the Queen.
It seems like a match made in heaven, too.
The Queen is an avid dog lover, whose last corgi sadly passed away just last month, so she was undoubtedly loving having the company of another puppy by her side.
Apparently their mutual love of dogs is what initially bonded the Queen, 92, and Meghan, according to E! Online.
Meghan, 36, adopted the beagle from a pet shop in Canada back in 2015, after he was rescued from an animal shelter in the US, where he had been put on a kill list.
His fate seemed determined, before Meghan stepped in and saved him, and now he’s off taking joy rides through London with the Queen – how far he’s come.
“It’s a total fairytale,” Alison Preiss of Pet Valu, the store where Guy was adopted from, told The Guardian.
“Here is this dog that was in a shelter, nobody wanted him, and through this wonderful adoption he’s now living in a palace, running around with the royal family.”
And although Guy has a brother, Bogart, Meghan had to leave her other rescue dog behind in Los Angeles with a friend, because he’s apparently too old to make the move to London.
Meghan once described her dogs as her “absolute world”, as reported by Daily Mail.
Yep, it’s a dog’s life alright.
