After suffering a miscarriage, Matty J and Laura Byrne are expecting their first child.

In some truly excellent Christmas news, The Bachelor’s Matty J and Laura Byrne have announced they’re expecting their first child.

The couple who met on the 2016 season of The Bachelor shared the news on their Instagram accounts, posting their sonogram photos from a beach photo shoot.

“I’m so bad at keeping secrets so I’m EXTREMELY excited to let everyone know, we are having a little baby!” marketing manager turned radio host Matty J wrote on Instagram.

“@ladyandacat I love you more than words can describe and I can’t wait to start our family together. WE ARE GOING TO BE PARENTS!!”

Laura also posted similar images, saying “happy doesn’t even come close” to how they feel about the news.

“WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!!Old mate @matthewdavidjohnson and I are beyond excited to finally be able to share that I’m cooking an orange sized baby Johnson-Byrne,” the jewellery designer said.

“Happy doesn’t even come close (Have a look at the last picture – it’s little hand is waving at everyone my heart).”

According to Laura’s hashtags, the couple are 15 weeks pregnant and are expecting their Bachelor baby in June, 2019.

The happy news comes after the couple miscarried at seven weeks pregnant earlier this year, Daily Telegraph reports.

Matty J and Laura have been together since the finale of The Bachelor in 2016. Matty J found love after coming runner up on Georgia Love’s 2015 season of The Bachelorette.
