1. Chef Matt Golinski finds love again.
In a Woman’s Day exclusive, Matt Golinski who lost his wife, Rachael, 38, and daughters Starlia, 10, and 12-year-old twins Willow and Sage in a devastating house fire on Boxing Day in 2011 has found love again.
According to a close friend Golinski who suffered burns to 40% of his body, has connected with personal trainer and physiotherapist, Erin Yarwood, who assisted him in recovering from the tragedy.
“Erin came into Matt’s life to help with his rehabilitation in the early days,” the friend said.
“They clicked right away, a lovely friendship formed and, slowly and gently, their feelings have changed. It’s become a very special love story.”
The source went on to say, “He has an extraordinary fighting spirit, and Erin has been there with a hand on his back all the way. That sort of devotion is rare, and it’s given Matt a reason to fight on and make the best of his life. To see the light back in his eyes has given us great comfort.”

I am so pleased that Matt Golinski has found a measure of happiness again- I cannot imagine the horror he has experienced.
However - as an allied health practitioner- I do wish this site (and I know these "facts" have come from a Woman's Day exclusive) and others would refrain from referring to Matt's new love interest as the "physiotherapist" who assisted him in his recovery.
Throughout Australia, physios and other health practitioners are required to be registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency) in order to work. Pursuing a romantic relationship with a client (even an ex-client, in many cases) is absolutely out of the question and in most cases will result in immediate de-registration.
I am sure Erin is a lovely girl and I'm not sure of her actual job title- the Courier Mail described her as a personal trainer who worked with the physiotherapists at the rehabilitation hospital Matt attended- but perpetuating the untruth that physios and their allied health colleagues are open to pursuing intimate relationships with their clients does us as therapist a very grave disservice on many levels.
Yes, lovely story but the APHRA response came across my mind too
Something about that bathtub photo is really ticking me off.
I'm not sure if it's the lack of water or the fact that you can see a dry miniskirt on Kim's left thigh.
What a wonderful, poignant, life-affirming...addition to an endless stream of confected Kardashia.
I agree the photo is crap but it's also not actually them...
Ah, well then.
Better pipe down with the cynical outrage then, hadn't I? ;)
