Two months after the season finale of The Bachelor, Matt Agnew and Chelsie McLeod have announced their breakup.
On Sunday, the 2019 bachelor Matt Agnew made the announcement on his Instagram, writing, “These past six months since filming have been a very unique experience.”
“Chels and I have made some beautiful memories together that I’ll always cherish, and I wish her nothing but the absolute best,” the astrophysicist said about the woman he gave his final rose to.
“However, it’s with a heavy heart that I write this. For Chels and me, our relationship hasn’t translated from filming to the real, every day world as we had hoped.
“Chels is a very special woman and I want her to find the happiness she deserves. For those who may wonder if there’s someone else for me right now, there absolutely is not.
The 31-year-old concluded his statement saying, “It’s no one’s fault, it’s just life.”

“Our relationship hasn’t translated from filming to the real, every day world as we had hoped.” Wow, in a way hopefully that’s a real eye opener for anyone seriously considering applying for the bachelor right now.
Can't have helped with the time they seem to have spent apart with Matt in Europe. In the behind the scenes there was one instance that worried me too, where it was clear that Chelsie didn't seem to read much whereas Matt read lots. Still makes me sad, though.
