Exactly how to apply for MasterChef Australia 2024.

Are you a wizard in the kitchen? Do you often find yourself plating up a dish fit for a lord or a lady? If the answer is yes, then you've probably caught an ep or two of MasterChef Australia and have considered what it would be like to give it a crack.

Every year we watch on as regular joes compete against each other, making the most mouth-watering meals all whilst fighting for a healthy bag of cash that could mean the difference between pursuing their passion for cooking full time. 

Creating delicious dishes, the amateur chefs are tested weekly and pushed to their limits, refining their skills and perfecting their craft, so that one day these chefs will be confident enough to play in the big leagues.

Now given that the final is just around the corner and our inspiration is at an all-time high, there's no better time plan for the next season now that applications are officially open.

So if you've been working on perfecting the julienne of your carrots, or training your eyes to withstand even the most powerful onion sting, the next season might just be for you.

What you need to know before applying for MasterChef Australia:

1. You will need to be at least 18 years of age by the 16th of October 2023.

2. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

3. You cannot have any close relative that works behind the scenes of the show or an employee of Endemol Shine Australia.

4. You cannot have a formal cooking qualification acquired in the last 10 years as the show has been designed for amateurs. 

5. Filming will occur between October 2023 and May 2024, you must be available for all days of shooting and therefore need to make yourself available.

6. You cannot have a criminal conviction.

7. You will need to provide a photograph of yourself.

8. Video submissions are encouraged but not mandatory.
