1. The salaries of The Masked Singer celebs have apparently been released and they are absolutely eye-watering.
We’ve been watching The Masked Singer for over a month now and it’s fair to say we’ve had a lot of questions. One of course being, why have 12 celebrities agreed to dress up as giant animals and sing on national TV?
But now it seems like we may finally have our answer.
According to Woman’s Day, each of the celebs who compete on the show are paid a very generous sign-on fee ranging from $10,000 to $200,000. On top of that, the celebs apparently receive between $2000 and $10,000 for each episode they appear in. So yeah… we kind of see the motivation now.
The publication claims that if Cody Simpson is behind the robot mask, he will take home $380,000.
“Even though he’s relatively unknown in Australia, he’s considered very high on the US food chain and it would have taken at least that much to get Cody over here for the show,” an ‘industry expert’ told the publication.
Veteran singer, Kate Ceberano, is supposedly the highest-earning confirmed singer on the show, receiving a $70,000 sign-on fee plus $5000 per episode.
But the singers aren’t the only ones who receive a big payout: The publication reports that judge Lindsay Lohan pocketed $800,000 for her appearance on the show. Judges Dannii Minogue, Jackie O and Dave Hughes also supposedly earned $350,000, $250,000 and $200,000 respectively.
We’re not sure if the salaries are accurate or not, but it does seem like a pretty hefty amount given the judges’ frequently rogue guesses.

2. “No, I’m not pregnant. This is just how I look.” Georgia Love just annihilated trolls who questioned whether she was pregnant.
The Bachelorette’s Georgia Love has set the record straight: She is neither pregnant nor bloated, and people need to stop asking.
It all began with a simple Instagram pic uploaded by Georgia’s partner, Lee Elliot.
He shared a gorgeous picture of the pair outside a friend’s wedding, both looking dapper in their respective outfits.
However, rather than commenting on the wedding, internet trolls decided it was within their rights to comment on Georgia’s figure and asked whether she was pregnant.
In response, Georgia took to her own Instagram profile and shut down the rumours.
Georgia uploaded two other images from the event and wrote, “To everyone commenting on Lee’s post last night: No, I’m not pregnant. No, I haven’t just eaten pasta or had a big lunch. This is just how I look. And I’m really, really sick of being made to feel like it’s not good enough.
“This is a happy photo of two happy people celebrating their friends’ wedding. In what world should my body come into it?
“Feel free to comment below about how beautiful the wedding was, how nice it is to see us back together after I’ve been away, that you like our outfits or, if you REALLY feel the need to comment on how I look, you can point out how good my bum looks when I wasn’t even wearing underwear.”
And that is how you brilliantly shut down a false story, very quickly.
3. “They will be taking some much-needed family time.” Harry and Meghan will reportedly be taking a break from royal duties.
After what’s been a big year of intense media scrutiny, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have decided to close the doors on their royal duties and (briefly) take a break.
According to a royal insider that apparently spoke with People, Harry, Meghan and five-month-old, Archie, are going to split their time between the US and the UK, taking a six-week departure from their usual obligations.
The source reveals the couple will be spending Thanksgiving in the States with Meghan’s family and friends, before heading back to the United Kingdom for Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham.
“The Duke and Duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November,” the source revealed.
“After which they will be taking some much-needed family time.”
This comes as no surprise, with the pair having made headlines fairly often over the past few months.
As seen in various snippets from their documentary, Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, settling into their new life has come with various obstacles, taking a toll on both of their mental health.
Read more about what to expect in their documentary here, before it airs in Australia tomorrow night, at 7:30pm on Channel 10.
4. HMMM. Cody Simpson has flown into Sydney ahead of The Masked Singer finale and isn’t this just a mighty coincidence.
We called it.
Cody Simpson has to be The Robot on The Masked Singer, and this news basically confirms it.
The LA-based, Aussie singer and current boyfriend of Miley Cyrus, has been spotted at Sydney airport hours before the show’s finale tonight and that is just too much of a coincidence.
We guessed Cody was the voice behind the elaborate robotic disguise – there are various clues that pointed to the 22-year-old.
These included the fact he loves surfing, he has strong interests in environmental issues and ‘grew up surrounded by gold,’ spending his childhood on the Gold Coast.
Although the show is prerecorded, news.com.au noted that the winner would, in fact, be doing the rounds with local media and radio tomorrow morning after the show’s airing, so it makes complete sense that he has jetted home.
If these clues are in fact true, Cody Simpson will be joining The Monster and The Wolf (suggested to be, Gorgi Coghlan and Rob Mills) on stage for the finale tonight at 7:30pm on Channel 10.
5. Everything we know about the rumour that MAFS’ Jessika Power could appear on Love Island.
In excellent news for those of us missing the presence of our favourite Married at First Sight contestants on our screens (and by favourites, we definitely mean the ones who caused the most fights), it looks like our prayers have finally been answered.
For months, it’s been rumoured that Jessika Power might be reappearing on our screens in her ~search for love~.
But instead of marrying a complete stranger on national television, it’s rumoured the reality star could instead be tasked with walking around in a bikini all day on an all-expenses-paid holiday.
Yep, get excited. It looks like Jessika could be entering the Love Island Australia villa as an intruder.
Now that we’re in the second week of the reality dating show, NW have reported that Jessika has been “put on stand-by” to appear on the show.
“She’s been bragging to everyone back home in Perth that she has definitely been confirmed for Love Island and that she starts shooting in September,” a source told the magazine.
“She also claims she’s getting paid six figures,” they added.
