His response to everyone else: “I don’t give a sh*t.”
Two years ago Zoe Saldana, 36 secretly married her (now) husband Marco Perego, 36 in London. But that wasn’t the only thing the pair have been keeping on the down low, until now.
In a non-traditional move Perego took Saldana’s last name instead of expecting his bride to take his. In a recent interview with InStyle Saldana admitted that she had even tried to talk her husband out of his decision, but the Italian artist wouldn’t budge.
“I told him, ‘If you use my name, you’re going to be emasculated by your community of artists, by your Latin community of men, by the world,” she told the magazine.
But Perego (Saldana) had the best response to his wife’s argument. It was simple. Saldana told InStyle, “Marco looks up at me and says, ‘Ah, Zoe, I don’t give a s–t.'”
The duo welcomed their first babies in November last year - twins - Cy and Bowie.
Saldana opened up to the magazine saying that she's been lowering her guard since being with Marco.
"I've always felt comfortable around men as long as they were friends. Now I finally feel comfortable with my lover. I want my church. I want to live inside the religion of our own little family," she said.
Saldana made her first public appearance after having the twins in February this year when she stepped out at the Oscars. She was looking amazing - as always.
The actress told reporters at the event that she was excited to be having a night out, "after three months in our baby cave."
Saldana is back at work just six months after giving birth. She look incredible on the InStyle magazine cover, and seems to be nailing her working mother role, with a very supportive Mr Saldana by her side.
Good luck to the new mum on her return back to the working world.
