Open Post: Camp, the flu vax and matching outfits.

Hello friend!  Welcome to another week of Mamamia’s Open Post.

If you’re new here, Open Post is a weekly Mamamia tradition where you can tell us about what’s happening in your life. Tell us about the good, the bad, and ask about ANYTHING you need advice on.

We’re going to kick things off. Here’s what we’ve been up to lately in the MM office.

1. CAMP.

Yep, the Mamamia, iVillage and The Glow teams recently took off for a weekend of games, team building and cocktail making.

Go team!

2. VACCINES

No one likes a needle, but it’s flu season and, well, you know the drill.

There’s Kate Leaver being #sobrave.

3. GREENHOUSES.

Yes, we have greenhouses scattered around the outside of our office. They don’t house any plants or green matter, but one has some fake grass and they provide us with a quaint and calming place to work when we want to get away for it all.

Creative guru Court

4. FASHUN.

Our team are so in tune that we’ve started wearing the same clothes, completely coincidentally. *Note, it’s not the first time Site Producer, Liza and Deputy Editor, Lucy have turned up in the same top.

Here’s more of what’s been happening at the Mamamia Office lately

Now, over to you – what’s happening in your world?

I asked a genuine question on how previous posters in this section are as I had not seen them in a while. Without throwing it open to all sorts of commentary, I just wanted to say I hope they are okay. I too have had many issues happen all at once in my life. Sending positive thoughts to all.

It's my first day at work tomorrow and I can't sleep!! I'm really doubting myself and wondering if I've made the right decision to go back to work. My little one hates daycare. He burst into tears today when he found out tomorrow was Thursday and he would be going. Breaks my heart and makes me feel like a bitch for wanting to have a couple of days out of the house. Then I feel stupid, because plenty of women work and I'll only be working part-time and he's 3 for God's sake and daycare won't kill him. AAARGH!!!
Hubby is being a pain because he's had a crappy two weeks of this stint. Even though I'm having a big moment this week, it seems that his feelings are more important and all I got was, "you'll be fine, don't worry about it".
Sorry, I'm not usually so depressing and self-involved, but I'm feeling really alone right now. And wish I had a bit more support. And now I'm really tired and hope I don't sleep in!!!!

You're doing the right thing even though it's tough! It is just a lot of adusting for everyone but you'll adapt and there are always things you can do to help! Sorry your husband isn't being supportive :( I hope your work friends are super supportive to make up for it! x
