Tony Abbott says objects found in ocean could be Flight MH370

Prime Minister Tony Abbott says the Australian Maritime Safety Authority has found objects floating in the southern Indian Ocean that could possibly be parts of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370. A live press conference in Canberra on the unidentified debris found about ‘2500km south west of Perth’, has confirmed that a RAAF aircraft arrived at the area at 2 pm and three more military aircraft will arrive later today. John Young, the General Manager from the Australian Maritime Safety Authority said that the RAAF Orion is expected to arrive at 6 pm, though its believed that poor visibility could delay the search. The two objects may not be linked to the search and are reportedly ‘indistinct’ on satellite imagery but are of ‘reasonable size’, with one of the objects appearing to be 24 metres in long. Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 went missing on March 8 during a flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, China. It was carrying 239 passengers and crew. More to come.

Police release details of suspected Madeleine McCann intruder

British police and detectives have focused their search for Madeleine McCann on a male intruder who is known to have sexually assaulted five girls at holiday apartments in Portugal. The man, who is described as being tanned with dark hair and having 'an unhealthy interest in young white female children' allegedly broke into 12 properties between 2004 and 2010 in the Algarve where British families were holidaying. The girls were all between the ages of seven and 10. Madeleine McCann disappeared in 2007 from her bedroom at the Praia d Luz resort in the Algarve. Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood has said that though they are searching for this man, they also have 38 'persons of interest' that they continue to investigate. Natalie Barr: 'Women need to stop blaming men'

Sunrise news presenter, Natalie Barr, has expressed her concern at the way she thinks women blame men for gender bias in the workforce and society in general . Barr has come forward and said that it shouldn't simply be a case of 'us' and 'them' when it comes to men, adding:

"I'm a woman and I have never felt discriminated against.  I'm not angry at men. I can't remember being passed over for a promotion because of a man and I have never felt undervalued because I'm a woman. In the past few weeks though, I’ve felt that there has been a growing tide of women attacking men in general. I’m starting to wonder if many of us need to find a better drum to beat than the one that blames men for most of our problems.  Isn’t it about time we took some ownership? If a man got the job ahead of you, was it because he was better? That can’t be impossible … can it?"
